Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions of WorkRight, operated by Kaptanz Space Private Limited. By subscribing to WorkRight, you agree to the terms of this policy. We aim to be fair to customers while protecting the integrity of compliance data already entered into the Platform.
2. Free Demo Plan
The Demo plan (up to 5 employees) is free of charge. No payment is collected, so no refund applies. You can stop using the Demo plan at any time without notice.
3. Full Refund Window
You are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription, provided that:
- No employees have been added beyond the demo limit (5)
- No complaints have been filed on the Platform
- No training certificates have been issued
- No annual reports or policies have been generated
These conditions exist because compliance artifacts (certificates, complaint records, policies) have legal value once issued and cannot be retroactively unissued.
4. Pro-Rated Refund Window
Between day 8 and day 30 of your subscription, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your subscription. Pro-rated refunds are calculated as:
The 15% administrative fee covers payment gateway charges, account setup costs, and processing.
5. No Refund After 30 Days
Beyond 30 days from the start of your subscription, refunds are not available. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable from day 31 onwards. You may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals (see Section 7), but the current paid period will continue to be available until expiry.
6. Exceptions — Service Outages
If WorkRight experiences a continuous service outage of more than 72 hours that is verifiably caused by us (excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure), you may request a service credit equal to the proportional value of the affected days. This credit can be applied to your next billing cycle or refunded if the issue is unresolved within 14 days.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you continue to have full access until then. Cancellation by itself does not trigger a refund; refund eligibility is governed by Sections 3–5 above.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email support@workright.in from the email address registered on your WorkRight account, including:
- Your company name as registered on the Platform
- The Razorpay payment ID (visible on your dashboard's Billing page)
- Reason for the refund request
We will respond within 2 business days with a decision and, if approved, the refund timeline.
9. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method via Razorpay. Bank processing times may add 2–5 additional working days for the funds to reflect in your account. Refunds cannot be processed to a different payment method or bank account than the original.
10. Disputes & Chargebacks
We encourage all customers to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback through their bank or card network. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting our support team may result in account suspension and pursuit of dispute resolution through Razorpay's standard process. If a chargeback is found in our favor, we reserve the right to suspend service and recover dispute fees.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active subscribers via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The version of the policy in effect on the date of your payment is the version that applies to that payment.
